Basketball Classifications

The Area Basketball Classifications is for all area teams in the Greater Houston or Greater Beaumont/Golden Triangle Areas participating in Basketball Classifications. Each team MUST compete in this Competition in order to participate in Chapter Games.

The Greater Houston Area will hold Basketball Classifications on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the location listed below. This event will begin with Opening Ceremonies at 9:00 a.m. and competition will last until 2:00 p.m.

Entries are due to the Greater Houston Area Office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2009, via email or mail. Click here to utilize online entries and Team Evaluation Questionnaire forms (TEQ's).

Classification events are sporting events in which athlete's participate in a modified game format. Volunteers will NOT be needed for these events. If you would like to attend to watch, we always encourage this activity! 

If you are intersted in volunteering at other Special Olympics events, email sotx-houstonvolunteers@mail.com to request a Volunteer Packet, which can be emailed or mailed to you or your group. If you need further information, contact the Area Office at the number listed below. Volunteers who have signed up for any event must present a picture identification card upon registration in order to volunteer for the day.
