EduCare and Arbor Fire Truck PullDate: October 9, 2010
Do you and your friends/coworkers have the strength to pull a 66,000 pound fire truck? It's time to start flexing your muscles; the ultimate tug-of-war challenge is just around the corner! Special Olympics Texas - Greater San Antonio will hold the 2nd Annual EduCare and Arbor Fire Truck Pull, hosted by the San Antonio Fire Department, at the San Antonio Fire Training Academy on Saturday, October 9, 2010. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by Opening Ceremonies at 9:00 a.m. and the first scheduled pull at 9:15 a.m. So how does Fire Truck Pull work? Teams of 12 will take turns pulling a 66,000 lb. fire truck a distance of 50 ft. Each team gets two chances to make their best time. The three fastest teams will be awarded medals, and the fastest will win the coveted Fire Truck Pull champioship traveling trophy! Each participant will receive at Fire Truck Pull t-shirt, and sweet treats and lunch will be provided courtesy of Blue Bell Creameries, LLP. and Kiolbassa Provision Company (Real Meat, Real Smoke, Real Sausage!).
