Sgt. Ruben Orozco 8K Law Enforcement Torch Run/2 Mile Walk

Join our local law enforcement agencies, along with Special Olympics athletes and members of the general public, in this 8K run/2 mile walk.

The Sgt. Ruben Orozco 8K Law Enforcement Torch Run was renamed in memory of Sergeant Ruben Orozco, who died in a car accident on September 17, 2005 after working at one of U.T.E.P.'s home games.

Entry Fees: $20 early registration by Friday, April 1 at 6:00 p.m. and $25 after April 1. 

Registration forms can be picked up at the area office or  REGISTER HERE click "Sgt. Ruben Orozco 8K."

Packet pickup is available April 13-14 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Up and Running, located at 3233 N. Mesa.  Register and receive a free T-shirt and goody bag at packet pickup.

Schedule for day of race: 
6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. - Late registration: $25 - Day of the race

8:00 a.m. - Shotgun start for 8K race

8:15 a.m. - Shotgun start for 2 mile walk
