General Orientation and Protective Behaviors
Date: August 21, 2008
Area: 17 - South Plains
The South Plains area will conduct a face-to-face General Orientation/Protective Behaviors training on Thursday, August 21, 2008. The deadline for registration is Thursday, August 14, 2008.
Completing the Special Olympics General Orientation session is the required first step to becoming a volunteer for Special Olympics Texas. It includes a look at the history and progression of SOTX, our constituency, the sports and training aspects of SOTX, challenges of the organization, and the direction we are headed with help from volunteers statewide such as yourself.
Anyone is welcome to visit and complete the session and it is a mandatory part of coaches education and must be completed. New volunteers need to turn in their Class A form at this time as well.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the area office at 806.749.7000 or visit the Special Olympics Texas website at www.sotx.org.
