Athletics, Cycling and Soccer Coaches Training - Summer Sports Expo

AREA: Area 11 - Greater Fort Worth

On Saturday, January 11, 2014, the Greater Fort Worth area will hold a Summer Sports Expo for anyone interested in becoming a certified Special Olympics coach in one of the following sports:

  • Athletics (Track & Field)
  • Cycling
  • Soccer
No previous experience is necessary. A coach may register for one sport only.

These Level I trainings will focus on the basic skills and strategies of the sport. Each course will include a classroom session, as well as a practical portion, so please wear running shoes and clothes that will allow for mild physical activity.

Before attending training, coaches must complete a Class A Volunteer Application, as well as two online trainings--General Orientation and Protective Behaviors. Check our Volunteer Resources page for more information and relevant links. Veteran coaches, please ensure your Class A status is in good standing.
