Tektronix Corporate Challenge Presented by the City of Richardson

The City of Richardson has presented the Corporate Challenge since 1998.  This event includes Olympic-style competitions, involving as many as 21 athletic and non-athletic sports with more than 8,000 participants from 40 companies.  Special Olympics Texas has been the beneficiary of this event since its inception.  This year, the City of Richardson is proud to have Tektronix as the title sponsor of the Corporate Challenge. 

Last year, Corporate Challenge events ranged from basketball to miniature golf and raised more than $91,000 for Special Olympics Texas (SOTX).  More than $420,000 has been raised for SOTX in the Corporate Challenge's 10-year history.  Events are held in the Richardson area and are scheduled during the week after normal business hours and on weekends.  All full-time employees, spouses and retirees are eligible to participate - either by volunteering, cheering or competing. 

Competitions run for approximately five weeks starting with Opening Ceremonies on August 22 at Breckinridge Park in Richardson.  Come out and celebrate our athletes during the lighting of the torch and egg toss.  Then come back for Closing Ceremonies on October 22 and celebrate the greatness of philanthropic companies and their employees.
