As March Madness officially comes to a close on Monday night in Phoenix, SOTX athletes from Area 10 were treated to an exclusive basketball clinic, put on by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on Sunday morning at Trinity Christian Academy in Addison.
2017 NCAA All-Americans Kalani Brown (Baylor), Kelsey Plum (Washington), Chantel Osahor (Washington), Kelsey Mitchell (Ohio State) and Alexis Peterson (Syracuse) hosted various skills stations, where they coached SOTX athletes on the fundamentals of assisting, dribbling, 2 v. 3, 3 v. 3, and footwork. After getting coached up on these aspects of the game, SOTX athletes and All-Americans teamed up for a scrimmage game. The event was a great unified experience for everyone involved!
The clinic ended with All-Americans presenting SOTX athletes congratulatory certificates of participation.
