William Mikell Heart of Texas 12 - Heart of Texas

You may think you're hearing thunder, but what you really hear is William Mikell throwing strike after strike at the bowling alley.  Involved with Special Olympics for 17 years, he participates in athletics and bowling, which is his favorite competitive sport.  At the 2008 Winter Games, Mikell bowled with his mother, Vivian, as his Unified Partner.  Vivian enjoys "the companionship – it is like a family."  She also "helps out a lot," as said by Mikell, which is something that has brought their family ties closer than ever.

Mikell mostly keeps busy with Special Olympics, but when he has time, his hobbies include watching television, listening to music, and collecting DVDs and CDs.  He also loves football and wants to volunteer at a senior citizen's center or at a hospital.
