Volunteer Spotlight - Sergio De La Rosa

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sergio De La Rosa has been a Special Olympics Texas volunteer for over 25 years serving as a Games Management Committee Member, Spring Games Track Judge, Development Event Committee Chair and member. He was also instrumental in launching the Point of Sale (POS) Campaign with Coca Cola and Southwest Convenience Stores – DBA 7 Eleven in El Paso, Midland Odessa, Wichita Falls, Lubbock and Abilene in the summer of 2012.  All proceeds from this campaign benefit local area athletes.  Sergio has been a great asset to the Area 19 group! His passion and dedication in recruiting new volunteers and athletes has not gone unnoticed. Recently an athlete presented Sergio with a surprise in appreciation for the support he offered. The athlete assembled a large Coca-Cola puzzle, framed it and presented to Sergio at his office last month.
