Register Today for the Joey Cushman 5K

Get ready to lace up for the 10th Annual Joey Cushman 5K, presented by Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) – Greater Fort Worth area and the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), on November 3 in Arlington.  Runners of all levels are invited to compete or run for fun.  

Joey Cushman was an Arlington Police Officer who was killed in a training exercise on June 7, 2001.  Each year, the Arlington Police Department honors his memory with the Joey Cushman 5K because of his commitment and service to SOTX.

About the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR)
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is Special Olympics' largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle.  In Texas, the Law Enforcement Torch Run began in 1985 and had grown to become one of the largest in the nation.  In the last decade, Torch Run has contributed over $11 million through the dedication of thousands of law enforcement personnel fundraising on behalf of SOTX.  The support provided by this dedicated group has contributed greatly to programs in local communities, which involve more than 44,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities throughout the state.
