The Rio Grande Valley SOTX Staff, will conduct a Level One, sport-specific Training Expos for the Fall 2020, this is the second expo of the year, which will feature Unified Sports, Aquatics, Basketball, Bocce, Flag Football, and Powerlifting. Please visit our homepage to complete the necessary online trainings for admittance to the training(s), specifically the Sports Information Guide (SIG).

For the MORNING trainings , please arrive on time, check-in begins at 8:30 AM, with the expo to begin approximately, 9:00 AM.with the following sport-specific trainings:

Choose to Include, unify your Special Olympics Program(s)! Any individuals who are interested to become certified in UNIFIED SPORTS, accredited Special Olympics Texas must attend this training, please, to register please click HERE.

Strategically, choose to include!! Any individuals who are interested to become certified in BOCCE, accredited Special Olympics Texas must attend this training, please, to register please click HERE.

Goggle up, in three feet depth, you may have your athletes to compete in AQUATICS (SWIMMING) for 25-meter to 50-meter walks, Freestyle, and even Relays out at the pool. To register, please click HERE.

Ready to rumble!! The newest sport to be offered to become certified with Special Olympics Texas, FLAG FOOTBALL,will be available to those who are interested, please register here.

The AFTERNOON  trainings will begin with check-in at 12:30 PM, and begin with the sport-specific by 1:00 PM, approximately, with the following sport-specific trainings:
Individualize the All-American sport, so ALL are included. Any individuals who are interested to become certified in BASKETBALL, accredited Special Olympics Texas must attend this training, please, to register please click HERE.

Show strength and choose to offer a sport of determination!! Any individuals who are interested to become certified in POWERLIFTING, accredited Special Olympics Texas must attend this training, please, to register please click HERE.

All new coaches, under Special Olympics Texas, must submit the following online certifications prior to attending any sports-specific training:

  • General Orientation - Class A Volunteer Form
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Protective Behaviors
  • Concussion In Sports
