The Powerlifting Coach Training is open to anyone  interested (no experience necessary) in becoming certified coach for Special OlympicsThis training course focuses on the basic skills and strategies of the sport, fundamental skills development for the athletes, as well as, competition and game understanding. This course includes a classroom session and an activity session performing the skills with the trainer and clinician.
This training will be held in coordination with a team practice. Attendees will get a chance to see how the coaches schedule, set up and run a typical practice. All new SOTX coaches must take the "New Coach SIG training" online in addition to completing the steps below to become certified. The following paperwork and online trainings need to be submitted and taken upon completing the coaches training and sent to the Area 10 office. All information can be accessed at the following link (http://www.sotx.org/get-involved/coaches/certification/)
