On Saturday, June 29, 2019, the Panhandle area will hold a Cheerleading Coaches Training for anyone interested in becoming a certified Special Olympics coach.
This training will focus on the basic skills and strategies of Cheerleading. It will include a classroom session, as well as a practical portion, so please wear shoes and clothes appropriate for participating in skills.

This training will be held in the turf room at Canyon High School. The entrance to the turf room will be through a set of double doors with the Canyon ISD mascot on it, it is located on the North side of the school (17th ave.) in the parking lot right before you see the tennis courts.
Before attending training, coaches must complete a Class A Volunteer Application, as well as two online trainings--General Orientation and Protective Behaviors. Check our volunteer resources page for more information and relevant links. Veteran coaches, please ensure your Class A status is in good standing and that your Criminal Background Check is current.
