Law Enforcement Torch Run Hall of Fame
The LETR Statewide Committee accepts nominations to the Texas Law Enforcement Torch Run Hall of Fame on an annual basis. Inductees into the 2006 Texas Law Enforcement Hall of Fame include: Anita Barbosa of Lubbock Police Department, Richard Candelaria of Midland Police Department and Andy Ainley, (Ret.) Duncanville Police Department. Past winners include Dan Bell (deceased), Steve Griffith and Steve Lyons. Special Olympics Texas presents this award to individual(s) who have contributed to the cause of the Texas LETR and SOTX in spirit, dedication and in an effective and unparalleled manner. Specific criteria for the award can be found below.
Nominations will be due back to the Selection Committee via your TR Regional Director or Area staff contact by October 6, 2006. Nominees will be notified by November 20, 2006. All nominees will be recognized and official award presentations will be made at the Statewide Conference in January 2007.
