Special Olympics Texas has one of the largest Special Olympics programs in the United States and is recognized as a world leader in Special Olympics.
The $7 million campaign will fully fund the construction of a permanent home for Special Olympics Texas headquarters and includes the cost of land, engineering, construction, professional services, furniture, equipment, technology, security, signage and moving costs.
Owning a permanent building will allow us to maximize the impact of all donations on our ability to support program services.
The new facility will allow our organization to build financial equity in the land and building.
The new headquarters is centrally located and easily accessible by the entire State.
The facility has conference, teleconferencing, and meeting rooms with adequate space for public and private events, including Athlete conferences and Board and Committee meetings.
The new facility was designed with athletes, families and coaches in mind and was customized to address our needs and proudly reflect our special heritage.
The facility has high-tech training rooms for coaches, volunteers, athletes and medical professionals.
The new facility has room to support coach training and sports activities, and provides ample on-site storage for equipment and supplies.
This campaign will also help our organization create additional opportunities and programs to better serve our athletes.
