Training: Motor Activities Training Program (MATP) Coach

The Greater Fort Worth area will offer a Winter Motor Activities Training Program (MATP) coaches training on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Resource Connection in Fort Worth. 

MATP is specifically designed for athletes with severe disabilities whose physical and/or behavioral limitations preclude participation in team or individual sports in traditional Special Olympics competitions. MATP enhances motor skill development, sport skills and physical fitness. For more information regarding the MATP program and curriculum, please consult the SOTX website or contact the area office. 

Sign-in for this training will start at 8:15 a.m. with instruction beginning promptly at 8:30 a.m. and running until about 1:00 p.m. To register, please call the area office at 817.284.0074 or email Dalton Hill (dhill@sotx.org).

Before attending training, coaches must complete a Class A Volunteer Application, as well as two online trainings--General Orientation and Protective Behaviors.
