Training: Equestrian Coach

AREA: Area 10 - Greater Dallas

Start Time: 2:30 p.m.

End Time: 5:30 p.m.

The Equestrian Coaches Training (Level 1) is for any individuals interested in becoming a certified Special Olympics Texas Equestrian Coach. The training will be held on Sunday, February 19, at Equest in Wylie, Texas

All new SOTX coaches seeking certification will also need to complete the online SIG training at this link: http://www.sotx.org/get-involved/sig/training/

VERY IMPORTANT:

Please come prepared for a very hands on training with our SOTX Equestrian trainer & Clinician which will include some of the following: model a proper training session for our SOTX coaches/athletes as well as instructing on the skills needed to be a successful SOTX Equestrian coach for our SOTX athletes. Please dress for the part because it will be held outdoors so please wear ONLY Closed Toed Shoes (Tennis/Athletic shoes or Boots (boots are preferred), Jeans or workout pants that are long to cover your legs, T-shirts, Sweatshirts (warm clothing)

  • Protective Behaviors Training
  • Class A Volunteer Form
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Concussion in Sports Training
