We change lives, but we can’t do that without your financial and volunteer support. No one will ever forget the important role you play in helping us change people’s lives. While you’re making year-end gifts to help us change lives, you might as well take advantage of any tax benefit that might be available to you. Maximizing tax benefits depend on timing. Here are some ways you can consider making a gift to SOTX before year’s end.

Mailing via U.S. Postal Service: date your check on or before December 31, 2017, and make sure the dated postmark on the envelope is on or before December 31, 2017 (with the postmark, they will be counted for 2017 regardless of when they are received at SOTX).

Shipping via other delivery services: other shipping services do not “postmark” their deliveries, so if SOTX receives your gift after December 31, 2017, then we cannot, by IRS Code, give you credit for a 2017 contribution, so ship your contribution early.

Mailing/shipping address: Special Olympics Texas, 1804 Rutherford Lane, Austin, TX 78754

Donate online: at www.sotx.org/donate by 11:59 p.m., December 31, 2017 for your gift to qualify for a 2017 income tax deduction to the extent permitted by law.

Phone: Call Rick Brown at 512.491.2938.
