Twelve-year-old Ricardo Garcia is a sixth grade student at Lamar Bruni Vergara Middle School in Laredo, Texas.  He participates in bowling and track and field with SOTX. Of the two, bowling is his favorite, but  he still really enjoys practicing for and competing in the running events. Ricardo’s best moments with SOTX are when he won first place in his events.

Some of his hobbies include playing football and riding his bike on the weekends with his friends. He also takes a particular liking to hamburgers, Batman and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Ricardo says the best advice he was given as an SOTX competitor is to be positive and work as a team.  He keeps this in mind as he works toward his goal to become a better athlete.
