Special Olympics Texas athletes and the Deer Park High School men's basketball team played in their 3rd annual game. Students, teachers, campus and district administrators, as well as coaches and athletes from other sports joined the families and friends of SOTX athletes in the stands.

Jeff Greene, assistant principal at Deer Park Junior High and SOTX coach said, "Special Olympics is a great program and a great organization. This is just as big as anything we do in Special Olympics because these athletes are students in Deer Park ISD. They are a part of the fabric of this school".
