Athlete Village was the place to be Friday and Saturday! We estimate that more than 1,000 bags of popcorn were distributed, more than 600 minutes of karaoke was sung, the Cupid Shuffle was played more than 15 times--and more than 200 people signed a pledge to eliminate using the R-Word.

Hundreds of Walmart employees staffed Athlete Village, running events like the bean bag catch and launch, the giant egg races, BIG tricycle races and Rody horse races. Everyone had fun!

Also at at Athlete Village were karaoke and the Family Support Network. Representatives from Texas Parks and Wildlife set up an archery range and the backyard bass games.

Mattel employees gave away hundreds of great toys on Saturday, bringing their own personal toy store to the athletes of Special Olympics Texas.

The Southwest Dairy Farmers brought their cow and did milking demonstrations. They also gave away lots of tasty ice cream!
