Kim VanLoo is celebrating her 12th year as a SOTX athlete.  She is a golf, bowling, powerlifting, basketball and gymnastics competitor in Pflugerville.  She also competes in athletics (track and field) and soccer.  VanLoo said participating in SOTX has helped her improve physically, socially and emotionally.  In fact, she was featured in her hometown newspaper, the Pflugerville Pflag, as Athlete of the Week, and was even recognized by her delegation as Athlete of the Year - twice!  When she's not competing, she's still hard at work as an HEB employee.  She spends her free time listening to music and traveling.

VanLoo has plenty of help accomplishing her competitive goals; her dad is her Unified Partner in golf and a member of the Central Texas area's Families Committee.
