Kay Seale

Kay Seale’s son Cory has been involved in Special Olympics Texas since middle school. He’s got an impressive collection of medals on the wall of his bedroom and continues to add to them. Over the years, Cory has participated in bowling, aquatics, basketball, tennis and athletics. His coaches, she said, have been patient with him, teaching him the rules and new sports skills.

Seale says that Special Olympics was always important to Cory, but once he left school, it became even more important. “It keeps him and his friends together.”

Seale says that Cory’s participation in Special Olympics is important to her as well. “Just being able to keep him busy and involved has been real important. He needs that socialization. But he’s just been a joy. Being around his friends is a lot of fun.”
