The East Texas area is made up of 1,209 athletes from Anderson, Angelina, Cherokee, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Marion, Nacogdoches, Panola, Rains, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Smith, Upshur, Van Zandt and Wood counties. The area offers competition in aquatics, athletics (track and field), basketball, bocce, bowling, cycling, equestrian, gymnastics and softball. There are 146 coaches who train and lead these area athletes.
