The South Plains area serves 633 athletes from the following counties: Bailey, Borden, Cochran, Cottle, Crosby, Dawson, Dickens, Floyd, Gaines, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Kent, King, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Motley, Terry and Yoakum counties. Area sports include: aquatics, athletics, basketball, bocce, bowling, equestrian, golf, gymnastics, Motor Activities Training Program (MATP), powerlifting, roller skating, softball, table tennis and tennis. The South Plains area also serves athletes ages two to seven through the Young Athletes program. More than 81 coaches contribute to the success of the South Plains area.
