The South Plains area serves 651 athletes from the following counties: Bailey, Borden, Cochran, Cottle, Crosby, Dawson, Dickens, Floyd, Gaines, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Kent, King, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Motley, Terry and Yoakum. Area sports are: aquatics, athletics (track and field), basketball, bocce, bowling, equestrian, gymnastics, roller skating, softball and tennis. There are 74 coaches who contribute to the success of the South Plains area.
